Halifax Minor Baseball Job Opportunities

Summer 2026 Field Coordinator

 

Halifax Minor Baseball (HMB) is looking for an eager worker passionate about baseball with strong organizational skills. The anticipated term would be from approximately May 25th, 2026 to August 23rd, 2026.

 

Tasks INCLUDE:

1.      Preparing and lining fields.

2.      Tracking inventory and organizing equipment bins at 9 HMB Fields.

3.      Writing and submitting Equipment Reports.

4.      Delivering balls, equipment, etc to teams when required.

5.      Preparing fields for Tournaments.

6.      Performing miscellaneous baseball-related tasks.

 

Hours:

1.      15-18 hours per week

2.      Sunday 10am-5 pm

3.      Monday to Thursday 3-5 pm

4.      May be required to work on a Friday or Saturday to help with tournaments or special events.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a valid driver’s license.
  2. Must have access to a vehicle with a reasonable size trunk or carriage space.

 

Wage:

$20 per hour.

HMB WILL CONSIDER AND ENCOURAGES JOINT APPLICATIONS FOR BOTH THE FIELD COORDINATOR POSITION AND DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT POSITION. IF THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT HOLDS BOTH POSITIONS, THE WAGE WILL BE ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY.

 

 

Summer 2026 Director of Development

 

Halifax Minor Baseball (“HMB”) is looking for an eager worker with a demonstrated passion and high skill level in baseball to develop the baseball skills of HMB’s 7U-14U players. The anticipated term would be from approximately May 11th, 2026 to August 31, 2026.

 

Tasks INCLUDE:

1.      Assist in the development and implementation of practice programs for 7U, 9U, 11U and 13U Recreational teams and 12U and 14U Girls.

2.      Set up an initial in class / on field sessions with all coaches to discuss how to run a proper practice.

3.      Visit practices pursuant to a schedule each week to help coaches implement practice programs and provide technical direction to players on baseball skills.

Hours:

1.      15-18 Hours per week (possibly 5 additional hours per week will be dedicated to program development, including preparing and providing reports to coaches and the HMB Board.)  

2.      The hours of work will be dependent upon weather and practice and game schedules, but the hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday mornings to early afternoon in May and June.

 

Requirements:

1.      Must have a valid driver’s license.

  1. Must have played and/or coached baseball at a competitive level.
  2. Must have successfully completed NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Courses.

4.      Must possess excellent relationship building and teaching skills.

 

5.      Must be able to effectively communicate with and build and maintain credibility with coaches, parents, and players of all ages and skill sets (particularly those players with less advanced skill sets).

 

6.      Must be able to manage multiple activities and programs at a time.

 

7.      Must be highly self-motivated and organized.

Wage:

$25 per hour.
